Bogolanfini, commonly known as mudcloth, is a handmade Malian cotton fabric traditionally dyed with fermented mud. It is a unique textile art form, deeply rooted in the cultural heritage.
This beautifully handcrafted mud-cloth scatter cushion displays bogolanfini patterns, each with richness in cultural significance and identity.
The primary materials used in creating the mudcloth include:
- Handwoven cotton fabric
- Fermented mud
- Various natural dyes derived from leaves and bark
Originating in Mali, each fabric is crafted by hand, using traditional techniques that include weaving cotton and dyeing it with fermented muda process that takes days and great skill. The fabric is then sewn into pillow covers in the USA.
These covers feature 100% cotton and eco-friendly dyes.

Shipping & Returns
GENERAL SHIPPING
Please allow 1-2 business days for your order to be processed and shipped (3-5 days during sales and product launches). Orders placed late Thursday evening and Friday are typically shipped out the following Monday.
Make sure your items, preferences and delivery address are correct before placing an order. We cannot change orders once they have been placed. Once items have been shipped, we are not responsible for orders delivered to the wrong address.
INTERNATIONAL ORDERS
Although we do our best to ship all orders properly, once they leave the U.S., we have no control over any additional cost. Please be aware that customs charges may apply.
HOLIDAY SHIPPING
